there was light when they said they needed a mesmer, but then the light died out and all was plunged into darkness the next line when someone said they were selling a fire sword

Any and all combinations of the words "Your mom" and "WTS" in public chat. Because when you run out of insults and turn to mom insults you lose and everyone knows your out of ideas. Don't get me started on "WTS" in public chat.

WTS on public chat in non-city places, except Augury, doesn't bother me. The trade channel in other places just doesn't exist and most players turn it off unless they are in the capitals and are looking for something specific. I've closed some of the best deals at non-capitals from those who advertised in the general chat window.

First time I hear "toon" was several years ago in EQ. Before that the characters were always "Charaters" ("Char" for short) or "avatars".
Then there's the "kk" for "OK" as if the O and K are that far apart.
As for the word "Noob" and all it's variants. I have found in my many years of online gaming that most "noobs" [cough] are better players than those calling them that. They are less into themselves and play better as a team, rather than NEEDING a team to conform to one person's build. There are always execptions, but this is a general rule of thumb for me.

And yes, I hear the name "noob" pointed at me daily when trying to get a group as my Ranger/Warrior. Mostly cause I wont and refuse to re-spec my character to fit someone else's idea of how I should play. I bought the game, I will play it as I enjoy it... thank you. Send me $50 and I'll re-spec for you. /bow

Somewhere around it's sixth generation, !!!!!!, is where things headed south. 'Twas then that hormonally confused adolescent mutation began. It seems that adolescent youth are still developing hand coordination. It seems many cannot hold one button down while repeatedly stiking another in rage. Thus, the resulting "!!!1!!!!!111!!!!1!"

Unfortunately, people now type out "one" and "eleven".

"Exp. Infused R/Wa20* LFG For M/B/SC, no n00bs FTW!"

Now, is that a bad sentence or what?

The thing i hate most is mainly in tombs and Comps but also sometimes outside of it as well...
I just leave a group if a person says something along the lines of "stupid Koreans" it annoys me.

Heh. The problem is necros (with the possible exception of minion masters) and mesmers are so subtle that people don't see their effect. You could be playing the decisive role, but many people won't realise that the reason the bad guys are easier than normal may have something to do with those little purple triangles that keep showing up. By contrast, it's easy to see the Warrior standing up to the enemy, the fireballs and lightning bolts from the Elementalists, and so on.

Me, I've always found things seem to go a little better with a Necro around, and when it comes to Mesmers... well, I play a primary Mesmer, and I never understood why people thought Thirsty River was hard until it was my Warrior's turn . It wouldn't surprise me if some of the people in the group I was in the first time round thought they were just especially uber that time 'round... (Or I could be being uncharitable... from memory that was a good group, and I think they did accept a Me/E without asking the Me to pretend to be an E after all...)

Incidentally, on monk players and monk henchmen: Depends on the situation and the player. I've met some very good monk players, and the difference is more or less what you'd expect - people are less likely to do suicidal things (like think Healing Touch is a good skill except for healing yourself... no offense to anyone who does get good use out of it, but as a healer I don't think getting that close to the healee is often a good idea) and, with experience, human players are usually better at setting priorities. But the computer does have the reflexes thing going, as long as they stay alive themselves... and they can certainly do a good enough job if there are no human monks around and you're not trying to do something where the hench AI (or lack of Infused armour in certain missions, especially bonuses therof) is a liability. I finished Perdition Rock in a team with the two monk henchmen after the effort of trying to get even one human healer proved too much (the one that was around refused to go into a mission without another healer as backup...)

least favorite words: "rank" and "running to..."
least favorite phrase(only in CA): "who thinks they can take me one on one?"

as for "noob", i dont think it's used too much in GW. i watched my little brother play runescape for about 3 minutes once, and i was amazed at how much "noob" is said there. it nearly made me sick.
